    Scrounging Firewood (and other stuff)

I haven’t been building anything in over a year. I’m doing good here for the most part.

Those are some good saws for that duty.

    Stihl 066 port numbers

I personally like exhaust in the 94-96 range and blowdown about 22-25 and intake under 84. Lower than that they don’t idle quite as good. I’ve tried them as low as 103 and didn’t care how tight they feel.

    Stihl 066 port numbers

I’ve seen as high as 93 and as low as 100 on 066/660 jugs with 18-28 degrees of blowdown with intake running 76-83.

Help me choose a chain please

If I remember right he’s got an 88 and 090. If I was closer I’d grab the 48” mill just to have one again in case. The 404 will last longer between sharpening. I always use square ground stuff since it’s so much faster and I don’t mind touching it up on the bar as long as I don’t hit metal.

Book of Knowledge on dating husky saws?

Black tag is 1990. Silver tag would be 1980

Book of Knowledge on dating husky saws?

Silver tag goes to 1986. The first digit is the last number of the year. The next 2 are the week. The rest is the item off the assembly line that week. Black tags got from 1987 to 1996 and then it says the full year.

Want to Sell Huskihl ported 562xpw

It’s real strong for 60cc. I just don’t use it much with a ported 346 and 372 I can run 28-32” bars on.

Want to Sell Huskihl ported 562xpw

Seems like it’s a combination of the timing advance and very light load is the only time it does it.

Want to Sell Huskihl ported 562xpw

Selling my ported 562xpw. Saw has maybe 5 gallons of run time on the new top end I had ported for it by Kevin. Saw is a great runner with no issues. Looking for $650 OBO shipped in the lower 48.

    Scrounging Firewood (and other stuff)

Both were good but I think they had different pistons in them. Neither had the coil swap that I remember. Those pipe mufflers sound great.

Was that the second one I did for you? That one was a real good runner

I’ve not had contact with him since I bought his old lathe in 2015/2016 if I remember right.

    Runnin' Loads

The 17 F250 I have will spin the single wheels with a 25’ dual tandem and 18 round bales. I’ve had several modded 5.9 Cummins at 450-600 HP and they are hard to tow with on wet roads.
