What did you do to the muffler? I have seen one way so far. I just ran mine today!

    Efco and Echo

I have a 590 and like it very much! It is a little heavier than some others but I don't use it every day all day. I'm a homeowner firewood hack and heater.

    Echo 590 Timberwolf opinions

I got one a few weeks ago. So far I am happy with it. I have 1 to 2 tanks through it so far and it is getting stronger each use. The anti-vibe is real good. It's been starting on the second or third pull cold. It's also pretty good on fuel.

Thoughts on Husqvarna 555 for Firewood and Farm

I looked at the 555 when I was looking for a new saw. I got the 590. It is starting to break in and feels like it is pulling more and more every tank.

    Picked up a Echo cs-500P

Congrats on the new saw! I really like my 590. The guy I got mine from has a 500 for his personal use. He said it is a great light saw.

go ahead and flame me but i am still asking,,, 40ccer????

It might be a homeowner saw but I am very happy with my J-red 2240. Mine has the tool-less chain tensioner. I think the saw runs very good for a 40cc. The husky 440 I am pretty sure is the same saw.

I have to agree. I don't think the aluminum handle would make any difference. I'll save the cash.

The 590 is really smooth. Very little vibration. I was originally going to switch out the front handle for one like on the 600. But I'm not sure it would make any improvement.

I ran the saw in some read oak today and was pretty impressed. It is breaking in well. Was getting stronger the more the day went. I was really shocked that I cut for a while and still had fuel in the tank. I'm also surprised at how easy it was to clean up after.

Picked up a timber wolf today.

I will report back. I kinda wish I still had my 029 super to do a side by side comparison. But it sold faster than I expected. From just holding it the echo feels well balanced. I am expecting it to cut very well.

Thanks for all the replies. I have 5 fresh gallons of ethanol free 91 octane. With everything I use mix gas for that will last about 2 months.

Picked up a timber wolf today.

They tuned it a little before I left and also asked me to bring it back after a few tanks just to make sure it stays tuned.

Picked up a timber wolf today.

So I picked up an Echo cs-590 today. Got a decent deal. Bought the saw and got an extra loop of chain for free. They tuned the saw before I left. I'll put it in some wood on Sunday. Does anyone have any suggestions for break in? Here are some pics.

Ok. The 562 is out of my price range. The 550 is at least close. Thanks.
