didnt I send you a full wrap not that long ago?

ahh i see, well i think it was in alot better shape than that one was anyway!

Well Guys and Gals. It is almost done.
I have a couple small things to do but
so far i'm pleased.
I know the half wrap handle bar doesn't
do it any justice but it's the only handle
bar i had. I'm on the look out for a nice
full wrap. HINT, HINT if anyone knows of
one for sale i would appreciate it.
I have a set of decals coming and will post
more pic's when applyed.
Hope all has enjoyed.

Lee

Very nice. Keep that half-wrap and maybe Sawtroll will approve it for limbing. Still might lose out on the weight issue... I put a half-wrap from a 2000 on my 2100S to get it by, but it's growing on my me. You need to find a Super bar cover to finish the picture. Are you going to fire it up when you are finished?

Chris B.

Chris, I think the bar cover is correct as
i have another Super 2100 that is in all
original condition with the same cover.
but i have seen the other type as well so
i'm guessing a production change but you
never know.

Lee

You could be right. My IPL only shows the later cover, but who really knows. However, the wider cover does match the width of the muffler shield.

You didn't answer my question, are you going to fire it up?

Chris B.

Pretty sure the "other" cover was used with the 7/8" clutch on the Super 2100. Some Super 2100's had the smaller 3/4" and used the cover like this one, which was the same cover as on the 2100, 2100S, and heck, even the 1050.

Dan

The late cover was used on the 7/8" clutch but it really does not matter. Most were mixed and matched. The saw looks great and will make a nice video no matter if the cover is not 100%

Lee, I may have a handle? I'll look for you. I have to work tomorrow, but I'm off Friday through the weekend.

I'll PM you if I find one.

Lee, sorry if I confused ya. Just saying what the Rev1. IPL has in it. Nice to hear Bill seconding the finding. Heck, I got a 2100S a little while back that had the Super clutch cover on it! Like Bill said, its easy to interchange things. Who knows.... maybe some of the Supers with the 7/8 clutch came with the cover just like yours. Only have 2 sets of IPLS here to compare. Anycase, you have a heckofa nice saw!

Well guys, I thought i would take a brake from
all the Mcculloch 797's i have been working on
and work on a couple 2100 Homelites today.
I had started this project months ago but hit a
dead end looking for a fullwrap handle bar. Well
i finally found one a couple months ago. Today i
finished the decals and cleaned up this nice 40"
cannon roller nose and fitted it with 404 skip full
chisel. Got it running and seems to run well. Next
will be a video when i know the decals a set up.
Nice to have another project done.

Hope everyone enjoyed the thread.

Incredible machine Lee . Don't get any nicer than this. BTW WM, did you have luck getting the idle problem resolved?

Dan

Sounds great WM! Mind if I ask what you had to do to solve it? The couple I've fooled with have been OK, but its always good to know what to look out for on these tough to solve situations.
