I've got one hanging on my wall that I don't really want there anymore. 28" .050" gauge if memory serves me correctly.

Someone put a 28" tech lite on a scale!

I feel like my stock, only muff modded, 372 with the 24" bar needs feathered just a tad in Big Oak when it's fully buried. I don't think I would like a 28" bar on it. I'm sure if it were ported it would be good to go though.

I too wish they would make it in 24".

Are you runnin it alittle lean on the H adjustment. They usually do pretty good stock with a 28" and 7t sprocket full comp. chain

The 38" is a typo. I checked on it when I was looking for one a while back. I was thinking maybe it was supposed to be a 36".

I got home from vacation and found my new 28" techlite bar on the porch. Here it is compared to a Stihl ES Light and an Oregon Reduced Weight.

The Husky bar is a little wider and longer. The two bars are tip to tip here, with the Stihl on top.

Now you tell me, lol:)

Somehow I'm just getting back to this thread, not sure what happened. Then again I'm not too sure about anything that happens up in my head.

It was a .058 anyway. Clearly memory has failed me twice in one thread :msp_ohmy:

Just wondering if people knew about the laminate version. I didn't realize that there was a laminate version of the techlite. On the "News" pages from March 16, 2011 on the Husqvarna Canada page they highlight the laminate version and on the US site "Press" pages from October 29, 2009 they highlight the sprocket tip version. I may have missed the previous talk, but the laminate seems quite new to me. I do have a 20" version of the sprocket tip on the way. After all this time, what are the reviews on these bars? Has anyone tried the laminate version or know of the sizes/pitches available?

Ok, well there are two different types then. The "traditional" laminate style which is new to me,

and the one that everyone is already familiar with, the replaceable sprocket tip

yes all techlite are LAMINATED with REPLACEMENT tips.

HEY, READ the links before posting.

Haven't seen those non-replaceable tip tech bars yet. My local dealer said he had one of the replaceable tip bars fail. More operator error than anything, but you can rough house the lightweight bars like a normal bar anyways.

Yes, they are laminated with a mid laminate of aluminum, that is both glued (space type) and riveted. The process in "manpower intensive", so the price is pretty high, since they are made in high-cost Norway.....

They probably are the only RSN laminated bars that exist.

Speak for youself!

did you READ the LINK. that just a stock promo photo.

from the website

"The unique features specific for TechLite™ include a laminated guide bar with an aluminium centre and a sword constructed in layers of steel, aluminium and steel (S-A-S). A laminated guide bar is highly uncommon in sizes 20" and over. The TechLite™ bars come in lengths of 20" and 28" and fits all models over 60 cc. "

AGAIN ALL TECHLITE are LAMINATED with REPLACEMENT tips.

The first link shows a picture of a laminated bar with a non replaceable tip, it says techlite right on it.........right? So not all techlite bars have a replacement tip. I have yet to see those bars, but the picture doesn't lie.
