There has been a lot of info given on 50cc saws, especially the MS261, 346XP, & 5105. No mention of the 2153!?! Is the 2153 the same saw as the 346XP except for color? Are either or both considered strato saws? Has the 2153 been ignored because of difficulty in finding J'red dealers? Saw Troll, if you are there, I would greatly appreciate your weighing in on this matter. Are there any pros out there using them or are they just a Swede saw fan's machine? Thaks in advance for any & all responses

Same saw as 346xp, but betterlooking plastics and superior front handle angle! They're not strato saws.

Yes, there are professionals using Jreds, they're every bit as good a saw as normal husky saws, I wouldn't worry about it if I were you.

I have both, and surely prefere the front handlebar configuration of the Husky, especially for limbing. The Jonsered has some uneeded extra plastic on the recoil side as well, and a tad more weight because of those differences (you won't notise the weight difference, but it is there).

I like them.
They can be made to run really good!

Yeah, this is one of those "to each their own" kinda thing.

I prefer the straight Jred handle (even for limbing), Troll prefers the husky angled front handle.

Thanks a bunch guys. I own a very early 920 & a more recent 2135 & had a 490 stolen last July (very long story). They have all been great saws as far as I am concerned. Your info pretty much answers all of my questions. Keep your fuel clean & your boots dirty! SCH

Nowhere near the same saw, if you get a 2153 you will spending all your time keeping the hoards of women away from you! Same internals with an ignorant top cover due to the recoil plastic...........but the sweetest saw of them all.

Good saw, but I like the angle of the Husky handle and orange color better. I might be getting a 2165 this summer though.

So it's a real chick magnet eh?! The things you find out when you start asking questions! No wonder it was kept under wraps--kind of like being quiet about a favorite fishing hole. Sounds as though you really like it. I might need help with the girls!

making the 2153 "run good"

I like them.

Thanks much for the great pics! Those saws are brand spankin' new! When you say they can be made to run "really good", do you mean stock & properly tuned, or are you recommending cat removal (MM), limited coil replacement, & Removal of carb limiters?

I have a feeling he's talking about ported, maybe a 357 carb in the 2153, etc.
