This one arrived yesterday. Mcculloch SP125C with the famous
101D Kart motor. This was an ebay deal. I was surfing ebay and
spotted this saw with a buy it now. I read the description and
couldn't believe it. I had to have it. It's in really nice shape, The
lower handle brace was broken but a good used one came with
the saw as well as another 125 with a broken crank and another
short block with a good crank. Almost enough parts to build
another complete 125. Plus if you hit the BIN he would give a
54 inch and 42 inch bars. But the 54 turned out to be a 60 incher
and the 42 is a 36 hardnose bar. But i'm still happy.
The one pic of the decomp hole clearly shows a head bolt.
And it doe's have the removable head.
She runs pretty good but haven't had it in wood yet.

Lee, I'm glad I was wrong about the motor as it sure looked like a plugged DSP to me. I have no doubt that in short order you'll have it looking even better than it does now and have that 60" bar cutting. on, Ron

Congrats!! Cant wait to see it up and running. Saw that auction, and it looked like a good deal. Glad to see it went to a good home, it wont be lonely for sure:msp_smile:.

Really nice score, Lee!

See you got one of those newfangled Speeco splitters, too .... good to see the ca$h is flowing somewhere ...

Thanks guys, I was pretty thrilled about it but then i
was also nervous thinking it might not be a 101 motor.
I'm going to have to start going to the gym. Need more
arm muscles to pull these damn 101 saws over.

The splitter is actually a Super Split. Made here in
Bridgewater Ma. They were the first to come out with
this type of splitter. This one was built in 1980.
I wouldn't split with anything but.

Nice pick up. You always seem to be in the right place at the right time. That is my personal favorite saw. It looks like I will get up to Maine this weekend after all. Maybe we can have some Kart saw races.

Wow cool saw. You gotta make a few vids of her pulling the big bar. So how rare are these ones with the kart motors?

Very nice pick up Lee, great saw to a great home, congrats, wow, wish I had one, what a great saw to such a great guy, blah blah blah.

From the majority of us on this joint,

YOU SUCK!

I guess i will have to bring it to Maine. I'll leave the 36 incher on it,
Since there isn't to much in the way of big wood.
I will have to do a few test cuts and make sure it's right.
After all i wouldn't want you to beat me in a fair race.

I gotta find some big wood to do a good video.
Hope i can find some at some point.

The Kart saws are not that uncommon, Especially the 101's in the SP125 chassis.
There are several members here that have them. You see them for sale on the bay
every now and then. Unfortunatly they can demand some good money.
I think i got a real good deal on this one with all the extras.

Lee- another nice score. I was going to give you a hard time about hoarding big saws but then I glanced over at my pile and decided I'm just as guilty. Speaking of hoarding, I need to find something to do with all of these NOS Homelite 750 and 2100S pistons and rings I just bought.

Jacob, I know you have quite an arsenal of saws your self.
Nothing wrong with that, And i'm sure you have a few i would like to own.
As for the nos stuff, I bet your PM box is getting full.

With all the extras, you did so-so :msp_biggrin:.

I know, I did just OK but i'm still very pleased.

I got one of my 125 that way with a BIN, it was listed for only 45 minutes.
