Just picked up a ms 260 pro! ! ! 18" bar .325 RSC yellow

What a nice saw, low weight, good power and pulls the 18" .325 bar right through oak.

I have an ms 250 and like it ,but 260 has a better feel and runs smoother with more power.

Some say this saw is out dated...its not , they just did it right the first time!!!

I just got the last MS260(not a pro) my dealer had for $400.00 + extras as usuall. The pro he was willing to let go for $480.00 I havnt had an oportunity to run it yet but modded the muffler and trimmed the limiter tabs already..Cant wait till this weather breaks!!! By your pics it doesnt look like yours has seen any action yet either, but I know what you mean it is comfortable..

I got my brand new 260 Pro - Ported and Muffler Modded with 20" GB bar and 3 new Stihl Chains for $420 (also have warranty, LOL) ........... but then I've got connections, LOL.

AWESOME!! I got two yellow locust eyed up, just waiting for weather!!! Use the search for the muffler mod for an idea of how, I did, and still can use spark arrester if needed from the one I used..

I just picked up a catalogue

and it does not distinguish the 260/260pro...

Can't find any info on adjustable oilers... only it's got the decomp.

$600 retail up here.. I don't think that gets you a bar.

I read somewhere on here that they are coming out w/a 261 in october. Maybe phasing out the 260 pro already?? If I remember correctly it was a stihl dealer on here, he mentioned that at a "dealer meeting" of such..

Congrats! Nice saw and hard to beat for a limber.

The 260 Pro has an adjustable oiler and decomp, the standard model doesn't. The 260 Pro is the only version made now, the standard model was dropped.

The 260 Pro I picked up on FleaBay just got here yesterday. I threw one of my 16" bars and a yellow full chisel on her. I don't want to say what I paid for her, because I don't want to hurt your feelings.

I was looking forward to taking her and my 041AVES down the street to eat up some down oak and apple trees at my buddies' house, but of course, they're calling for another foot of snow now. I'm getting tired of the backhoe/skidsteer and need some saw time. Come on, old man winter, throw me a bone!!!

If its the 260 "PRO" then it has the decomp. and adjustible oiler....the non-pro's dont have this option.
