Hotblast Barometric damper ?

I just bought a field control RC barometric damper with tee. It says to put as close to the wood stove as possible. Should I make this the first part coming out of the back of the stove and connect the flexible liner to that. Should I also put a manual Damper in the Tee too. I have the hotblast 1537 same as the 1557.

I just looked in the manual it it says..

rules for connector pipe installation

number 8
install the barometric draft regulator strictly in accordance with the instructions that are provided with the barometric draft regulator...

US Stoves co also show the solid damper after the barometric draft regulator...

so for my 2cents I would install a clean out tee then the barometric draft regulator and then the solid damper....

Hope this helped...

I have about 4 feet from the stove to the wall horizontally. Should I put the Baro Damper into the back of the stove, then hook it up to the flexible chimney liner. Or should there be some sort of Gap between the stove and Baro. I just need to know if I should go buy some black stove pipe. On the instructions it says to put it " as close as possible to the heater". I don't know if they mean at for this type of stove.

Mine is a foot back from the unit. The old furnace I had it was about 2 feet back. I also placed a manual damper above my baro on my old furnace. Make sure you burn hot, the baro will cause an increase in creasote in the flue if you don't keep your temps up. I've seen them at the unit also. Keep it close and you'll be okay. Either way will work.
