I had never thought of Channel Locks as tree felling instruments.... They are lucky the back of that stump did not blow out when they were yanking on the 2x4's.

I'll second that and I feel dumber for having watched it.
Methinks that chain was a little loose - now lets see, what shall I do-
1) carry on cutting the tree down with a loose chain running the risk of it coming off and hurting me.
2) spend two minutes tightening it correctly and taking a bit of a rest
