MS200 VS MS180 in 10" Black Walnut

MS200 on it's first tank of fuel, 16" Bar 3/8 .050 Picco chain.
I checked rpm's after video, it was only running 13,200 rpm
reset to 14,000. Made a few more cuts and the rain came
before I could do another vid.....it did have more power after
the rpm change.

MS180 is broken in. 14" Bar 3/8 .043 Picco chain.
I have installed a fully adjustable carb and
opened exhaust.

Forgot.......Both are running 7 tooth sprocket, I put an 210/230/250
rim sprocket type drum on 180, 180 comes with a 6 tooth sprocket.

Video is little dark.........I didn't think about the back light

They're both pretty impressive considering the engine displacement and wood that you're cutting.:chainsaw: You must have had the chains pretty sharp.

How well are the 3/8 .043 holding up for you? I thought them far less durable than the 3/8 .050.

Those things run surprisingly strong in that wood!

The 200 almost sounds like it's got a muffler mod already. How does it compare torque-wise to the 180? Does it seem to handle much different?

Both Chains are new......have used .043 very little. for most part
180 wears .050, if 180 would had .050 I don't think it would have
been as close.

Pulled screen out of 200 only......torque, it's to early to tell, 200 will get
stronger after a gallon or so of fuel, my 200T did anyway.

I like the handles much better on 200.....little farther apart and
front handle is kind of oval, 200 is a little lighter.

Throwing out the last cut with each saw I got them at

MS200 about 8.4 sec.

MS180 about 8.2 sec.

:jawdrop:

Very, Very close to each other........few weeks will try it again
and see if any change between the two.

You need to get us a vid of the 880.

You can do it with the 180 and 200.

Waiting here very impatiently.:givebeer:

Adjustable carb and open muffler made a big big diff on 180.

Yup and the vid tells it also, that 180 went through quick. I have been wanting a good small saw for awhile and love the rear handle 200 but rather not spend that much now, the 180 looks like my kind of saw. Keep us updated on how the 200 runs after break in.:D

Don't have very much wood around to test 880 on besides milling.

And after sling'r 880 vid......my 880 is hiding :)

nice cutting saws there. The 180 sure does pep up with those mods. The ms200 is just a bad a$$ even in stock form. I wish I had not sold the 2 I have owned previously, I will get another one someday....

I like the rear handle 200 a lot. The top handle is a classic the rear handle is soo comfy. Most tree services are going with the rear handle now too, it prevents guys from 1 handed cutting......but I know some tree guys that have been in the biz for a while and they can hold a 460 one handed with there arm extended, so the rear handle isn't stopping those guys.:jawdrop:
