I finally got to cut some real wood again. I put 3 tanks through the new 066BB topend, 2 through the 440, and 2 through the 372BB. None of these saws are what most would even call broken in. The 066 only had less than a tank through it before today. The 440 has never been worked and hadn't run since EricJeepers GTG, and the 372BB had never seen real work either.

This house is about 1 1/2 miles down the road from my house. Someone topped out a large tree in the front and one in the back. I asked the other day if he needed someone to cut the one in the front down. He declined. I didn't know about the one in the back. Every time I drive by I look at that tree. Today I stopped and offered to do it for free:) He jumped on that. I need some saw time, lol! Then he says, "I've got another one in the back you can drop". That's the one on the video. Before I got to work, he goes, "I can't let you do all this for nothing, I'll bring you $100. He knows where I live. That was just the icing on the cake. Grant it, I probably did $300 worth of work, but I was just looking to run my saws a little.

I had a little trouble getting the tree to fall. I fell it against the lean and it took a little more wedging a persuasion than I antisipated. It ended up going right where I planned it.

I'm really impressed with this 066. This new topend is really strong. The 440 has a new 460 topend and was tuned quite rich. It's a tossup between it and the 372BB. The 372's tuned a more optimally and you can tell it in the video. The 440 still seems to have more grunt. One of these days I'll do a proper shootout between this 440, my 460 and the 372BB.

Enough talk, here's the video.

Saw sounds good Brad, the BB kits work well on the 066`s and they have plenty of grunt as well as speed. My 066 is still holding together running 15,000 WOT. Glad there is more than a trees length between us when you are out felling. Keep up the good work and stay safe, oh, clean up your work site before starting work. LOL

Ya look cute in them chaps, how bout you come on down to Virginy and help me re-string my bango,LOLOLOL

Seriously those saws all cut good. That 660 was singing, good job!!!!

I also just about passed out when I didn't see cookies falling off. That 440 sounds really good, even before you get it tweaked just right.

Yep, its about time for me to get some serious trigger time in behind some of the newbies built over the summer. I cant wait for fall...

Not too bad Brad. . . You still like your Sugi bars?

Anymore freebie trees like that, and you'd be justified in getting a CSM. :D

Sweet singin 066. A bit concerned about your posterity when it appeared that you had the running 066 standing on the bar nose betwixt your legs as you stepped for the mallet and wedge. Is it a dominant male thing? Although it does also appear that you have the tuning of that 066 mastered.

Thanks for the comments guys. I'm more impressed with this 066 than I ever have been before. It's tuned a lot richer than I would for cookie cutting. But these are a lot more extended high load cuts. I was really pleased with it yesterday. In this size wood, it was a huge jump from the 460 and 372.

Great vid!!! Thanks Brad..

Looked like a fun day of it....Looked like the 066 made lite work of it...
