I have two Skil 1616s (one with a chainbrake!), & in my box of misc parts I have the both halves of small Jonsered with no model number. IIRC there was post stating that one of the small Jreds is the same some of the small Skil Skilsaw models.

Does anyone know which small Jonsered is a match to the Skilsaw 16xx sereis? TIA!

Which one had the chainbrake, your first one or the one you got from me? I didn't even pay attention.

The 1616 with the CB came from you .

As far as I know, none.
The Jonsereds were rebadged Frontiers.

It looks as though some of the Canadian manufactorers borrowed each others designs.

Just thought I would post some pics of the two saws in question.
The orange one is a Jobu badged Frontier.
The other is a Partner badged Skil. (just a side note, later Partner models were Frontier saws)

There has been a recent thread or two where the incestious relationship between Skilsaw, Frontier, Trail, Jonsered, etc. was mentioned.

I ran across this Skilsaw operating guide on eBay, and thought it was worth sharing. The two Skilsaws shown (listed as models 1620, 1622, 1624, 1634) appear to be Poulans, maybe a S25CVA & a 2300CVA. I saved the image to my computer for future reference.
