Yep Wayne Suttons is the place and its awsome to see all the saws there.

Might as well drive to the top of Mt St Helens while your down that way as well. Go all the way up to the welcome center or what ever its called and watch the movie there. Its free..

Randy if you have time check out madsens. There's plenty in there to look at. I want to go see it myself.

bring yourself back couple of saws and at least one silvey ginder from madsens.

Now that I've got the number and email.. thank you!!!:D

There is a saw shop that sells Stihls exclusively just south of Madsen's about a mile. Google Service Saw Chehalis. I have to give them a plug because they are excellent to deal with and also have all the Stihls on display.

Both stores get a lot of business from genuine, real fallers. Chehalis is halfway between Seattle and Portland on I-5.

Yet another independently owned store in Chehalis called Sunbirds, has 3 aisles of rigging clothes should you want to dress up like Axmen. They sell Romeos, also.

What I found nice to visit just to kill an evening and get some good food was the market place - I lived mebbe 15 mins from it. Uh.. Pike Place Market, I think. Lemme find it:

Pike Place Market - Home There's a pub in there that isn't too bad.

Things NOT to see: Space Needle(blah)

Spring training doesn't start for another month. So ya just missed an opportunity to visit the excellent SafeCo field(and watch the not-so-excellent Mariners...)

Also, if yer in to burgers, go to Red Mill Burger. Good stuff. Get the bacon. Welcome to Red Mill Burgers! It's in ballard, I think. Which is a cool place to hang around in.

The flight museum is cool, too. UH, there's the troll...

Thanks fellas! Great recommendations and I have a bunch of them on my list now. Sent and email to Wayne Sutton and have a tour set for Saturday morning on my way to Portland to visit a member here.. talk saws, drink beer. Madsen's is close enough to run over in an afternoon and will hit that maybe Monday if there open.

Thanks again!

What is a Romeo?

If your lucky enough to catch Wayne thats the best museum on the planet.

Marshall Trover is in Renton and works swing shift. His collection is at his house but ranks top ten in the world too.

If you can head east to Monroe check out the Western Heritige museum at the fair grounds. A few saws there as well as tractors and tools from the past.

And 10 miles farther east in Sultan is the sawbones junk yard. :D

Chainsaws Plus is a cool little hole in the wall shop in Kenmore on Lake city way. If you ever heard of a guy called lakeside53 Andy thats were he used to work.

The largest saw wrecker on the planet is located in Lake Stevens if you want to say hi to Bryce.

Madsens is a cool shop and worth the 2 hour drive south just to see it.

Not on vacation. just the weekend off because of the holiday on Monday. The Navy doesn't want to work so I figured I'd burn the town! Been here since last Friday, drove over to Lewiston to see my Mom last weekend for the day on Sunday. If I would have had more time I would have stopped by your place for a beer!! Pick-up a saw.... why yes, I'll be over to get that 995G!!;)

I did grab a few nice bars in Moscow ID as I drove by, two roller noses, a brand new Sandvik/Windsor roll top and a 40" cannon Super bar in 3/8 .063 for one of the Contra's.

If you find yourself headed back towards the mountain (raineer) stop in at the "elbe mall" (on the shores of alder lake) my personal favorite stihl shop in the area he also has a large collection of used stuff and loves to talk saws cheaper than the next closest shop "ron jones" . fun couple of guys in there

OOH OOH I GOT ONE

Do the Underground Seattle tour. Runs several times a day from Doc Maynard's in Pioneer Square. Pretty cool local history stuff.

I keep kicking myself for not doing that tour. It's pretty cool. Lots of smugglers holds etc.

Also, doesn't Lakeside work at the Stihl dealership in Woodinville? ;) You could pop by and harass the poor guy.
