I have the Lisle but it doesn't get used anymore. The blade straightened out and I tossed it in a drawer.

Here's one I made and have used to remove many seals, including two 394 seals last week.

After struggling to find the right tool, I did the same thing as Nmurph. I made my own out of a pocket screwdriver shank and hold it with a vicegrips while tapping the seal out with a small(4oz) hammer.

I have the lisle version of said tool. It's only been used once and it was trimmed down a bit. Those 026 seals are small! Worked like a charm.

I use the red handled Lisle puller, great tool, made in USA! Comes with extra pick and can sometimes be found on Amazon for $15.

Been thinking about trying a Lisle. Hell of alot cheaper than that overpriced STIHL puller.
However, I like the nmurph approach. Hey murph....you make me one for a BigMac? :hmm3grin2orange:

If your pulling a lot of seals I think the stihl seal puller is well worth the investment. I can't remember off hand what I paid for it, but it wasn't extremely cheap.

While searching for the Stihl PN for their puller, I found this on YouTube and thought others would be interested as well:

Lisle has a great website if anyone is looking to lighten up their wallet a tad, I just ordered a new bearing and seal driver set as Jr seems to have lifted my old one.

I bought a used Stihl set from a dealer that was going out of business for 125.00 worth every penny .

Fish....you're a funny guy.

I bought the cheap knock off version of the Lisle puller and have pulled a pile of seals with it including the little 026 FW side seals.

I bought mine from Princess Auto here in Canada which is our equivalent of Harbor Freight.:msp_thumbsup:

Personally, I have used the expensive Stihl crap, other methods were just as easy. Plucking a seal out, and installing a new one, is not that
big of a deal.........
