460 falling spikes

I'm trying to figure out if these are pro safety or home made. Here's some pics to help you guys out. With those on the 460 it doesn't rock on the bar. With the large oem ones it does even with the rw bar.

Here's a picture of them on the saw. I thought they looked to good to be homemade but I think someone could make them that good if they really took their time.

those look like pro-safety dogs to me.

worthless when i tried a set. they bite too much.

That's what I thought about them. It doesn't take anything for them to get to big a bite. It takes a 28" bar to get 24" of cut. The only thing with them the saw didn't rock down on the bar tip when you set it down with the 28". The way the pro safety handle is they keep the saw sitting up. The handle sticks way down not flush like most.

Those are the Pro-Safety dawgs, not home made. Like F/W said, they're pretty much worthless. Now the medium 4-point dawgs that they used to make were great.

The only good thing about them is they keep the saw level sitting on the ground. I like the large oem ones better. I think I would like to try a 3/4 wrap on it instead of the full.

Dogs that size are for 100cc+ saws in thich barked trees.

I think you could cut redwoods with those dogs. I put the oem large ones on and like that much better.

I have the same setup, both the dawgs and the handlebar on my 460 and 660. I love it! But then I cut mostly redwood with thick, rough bark.

Pro safety... I dislike mine to, I have read on here to cut the bottom spike off and it helps. Have not tried it yet.....

round here those big spikes are like a low rider truck, it might look good but it aint good for much.

Them spikes are from Bailey's. That is where I got mine. I could'nt stand them they bit so hard the saw would snag every time so I ground the bottom spike off and now they work great and I think they look good also.
