Flue Heat exchanger & possible mods

I am going to be heating a large shop(Quonset type hut) with a big wood stove. I built an apt into the last 14' of the shop. The apt is insulated with 6" end walls & commercial blow on expanding foam on the inside of the steel roof. What would be the best way to use the heat off of the stove/flue & get it into the apt. I also want it to work with out power. Here are my thoughts:

Put a heat exchanger on the flue above the stove- somtheing like this from Stove Works USA.

Then fab a manifold off one end to a standard heat duct size. Run the pipe up and over to a interior wall vent so that the rising hot air will draw into the apt. Distance from stove to interior wall is about 15'. I can make the rise anything from 7-10'. With an insulated vent pipe will it work?

Put in a wood burning furnace

Do not steal any heat from a long flue pipe. They need the heat to keep em clean and to keep them drafting.

Hmmm. ok, so i should build something that attaches to the back of the stove? A low inlet pipe on one side & a high one on the other? Anybody tried something to work off of convection alone no elec blower?
