1983.
One of the later run that saw a switch to the plastic starter cover. Bar is original. It is likely a UXL Windsor mount for the larger 3/8” studs. It should have an S-shaped clip on the 5/16” studs to take up the room and have the larger bar plates. Earlier models came with the smaller plates and K095 style smaller Homelite mount. Hopefully it has spark, as the blue Prestolite coils were infamous for failing. Walbro HDC carb.
Strong saws when running well with no air leaks (carb intake block, carb impulse (gasket) and the often loose cylinder nuts/ base gasket).
If it’s a blue coil you can bake them in a toaster oven all day and they a lot of times will work againAwesome thanks man, i have read about the coils failing. Guess we’re gonna find out

Late 80’s is when they stopped using the wico blue modules.Great saws. That is an original Homelite bar although you would probably be well served to remove the bar tip and also get a better chain. Very well done for $30.
If it is a blue module saw, just run it till it quits then worry about repairs. I do not remember which year they scrapped the blue modules.

I did bake my super ez coil and got the saw to work again. Be careful though I got the side of it a little melted.
Sometimes you get a real ugly piston. These saws where prone to overheating if the fins where not kept clean. I have seen some scored pistons still run good. You can find them on eBay sometimesIs that a muffler screw/bolt backed out?
Go ahead and pull the muffler and look at the piston,
it might save you a lot of time and trouble.
About 45min ,30 would probably suffice. How long did you bake it for? And at 200? It doesnt damage the spark plug cable?

I believe it was made in 1978 on the 303 rd day and 402 saw made that day.Is there any other info you can give me on the model? it just says super mini trying to figure out year it was made. Sweet! After I did mine I hosed it down with silicone spray for electrical components and it hasn't been a problem since.Put it in the slow cooker on low for 12 hours, worked like a dream
