Here's my new to me 242xp, wow does this little saw run!! I had been looking for one of these for quite awhile so I finally decided to bite the bullet and have one shipped across the pond. About a week later, Super3 posted one in the trading post....:bang: Oh well, I still ended up with a really nice saw...

great looking saw. I had one down at the shop on the used saw rack about 4 weeks ago. it didnt look quite that good but the saw was in damn good shape, the buyer was veeeeery happy. you've got yourself one hell of a saw there, good buy!

Well, I guess I'll fess up, clutch, top, and starter cover are all new. It will spend most of the time on the shelf, I have other "work" saws. Thanks for all the complements on the saw!!

Once upon a time I knew a guy who had a NOS 242 and 238...unfortunately only the 238 ended up in my garage.

Good score, by the way. I'd definitely take another 238 or 242 if one came along.

Finally had a decent evening around here so I made a short video of the 242. A little out of it's weight class on the wood, but she was doing fine with the .325 x 14" B&C setup till it ran out of gas ....
