Hi there I am looking for some info on wide discharge clutch covers for husqvarna. I heard that there is a wider clutch cover for the 576xp but I can't seem to find any info on it...is there a bigger cover for that saw? If anyone has a part number or any other info that would great.

After looking at the 562xp I noticed somewhere on here someone got the wrap version, is there a bigger cover for that saw also? Don't own that saw just more of a curiosity question right now.

Thanks in advance
Keith

Thanks for your time

Thank you guys for your time I asked the local dealer and he said they do not make one...but the dealer has never gone out of his way to help so...That is why I asked on here. Thank you guys for your time and efforts this is a great site that has tons of information.

There is a $10 difference between then, regular is $45 and wide is $55

Thanks everyone

Thanks everyone for your responses, those pictures are a great help...almost the old saying worth a 1000 words thank you again.

Oh yea not saying what dealer but my local dealer said that there is no such thing lol...its a horrible place to deal with but its only 5 min. away and they are cheap with all their stuff...just saying this because this site has so much good knowledge and nice people.

Thanks again everyone!

If you do much noodling, I think you would like the wide discharge clutch cover. I have one that I swap between my 365, my 2171, and my 2165. One of these days I am going to get a red one for the jonsereds.

Clutch cover assy:

576xpw 537 33 10-05

372xpw 537 03 35-01

This number for the 372XPW is not the wide cover

The wide cover is the number that was in the Bailey's ad 537 33 10 01
If you don't remember the number it is the number for the 2010 and later 372 X-Torq XPW clutch cover. From the outside it is easily recognized as it has a lip on the front outside. You can see the lip in one of the previous pictures.

Clutch covers are interchangeable:

362 large mount versions only
365
372
570
576
385
390

The difference in what come stock on some vs others is the chain guard plastic piece or the color (if its gray). You can use either chain guard on the clutch cover. Don't know why they do both.

Thanks! Yep its a works connection hour/tach meter. Used a small carbide and made a few slots to run the wire, pretty seamless install. Tach works perfectly, fast refresh rate, and easy to look at while cutting. Heres a few pics of how i installed.

Damn, I think my 394xp wants one now

Digging up this old thread.....
Looking for a more durable clutch cover for my 372s, they always seem to crack.

Is the wide discharge version any more durable than the stock?
Or does anyone make a heavy duty aftermarket cover?

Alternatively, do the clone aftermarket clutch covers hold up as well?
They are considerably cheaper...

Clone tensioners are chit and the oem ones will not fit in the a/m covers I've dealt with. Tougher? Idk, but they do clear chips better.

As stated if you go aftermarket take the gear housing cover off and grease the adjuster.
The wide clutch cover that comes with the 572 wrap kit has a cast finish which seems more durable, but I've never broken a regular one ? So maybe look at changes in your cutting style.

How is yours breaking?

I'd say they could be, because of the rib around the perimeter.

I would also take a look at what may be causing it to break because I'm not aware of this being a common failure.
