If you decide to part out the 630, I'm looking for the brake handle and handlebar.

As far as I know this should be a direct swap. The coil will not be a problem either.

When the 670 first came out they were built on a 630 case and all the top end parts would bolt on. They went though many small case changes over the next few years and then I lost track after about 1989. The 630 P/C should be an easy swap.

Yes will fit no problem but as you said you will have to use the 630 carb and intake..it has an internal impulse corridor and the 625/670 have an external hose type impulse line. You will also have to stay with the 670 top cover and airfilter cover as if the 670 is single coil the cases have different coil mounting and different cover bolt placement on the front cover bolt. Other than that you should be good to go. A little less power but the 630 still cuts pretty darn good.

If it were myself I would look around for a 272xp top end for the 670. Being a 1pc. ignition you have the taller top cover and a 272 fits like it was made for it. Cranks are also easy to come by to fix the 630. My 2 cents. Rick!!!!

thanks guys for the help i have a 272 so its not a big deal and the one that needs break and handle pm with addrest i have a couple parts saws and have a handle to thanks lee

Thanks for the offer, Lee! A member and a sponsor hooked me up already, though.

Remember that many changes were made during production, and you sometimes will not know if something already has been changed out for some reason.

thanks guys for the help up and running i had to use a carb off a 268xp runs sweet it have some pic soon
