I called in an order to Baileys for a carb adjustment tool for my new 395xp.

They sent part # HVA 504 62 29 01

It looks like a deck screw with a wire handle and the package says service tool carb.

What is this thing?

Picture is coming, at dial up speed.

Look like this?

Whats the other jewel for mitch?

Has reverse threads for pulling the limiter in a way that they can be pushed back on. It is a Husqvarna service tool 540 06 82-01 . I will make a vid sometime when I'm bored LOL

Are the threads reverse?
Likely a limiter puller.
What carb?

Does anyone know if this adjustment tool would work on a Ryobi SS30 trimmer?

I've ported the cylinder and modded the muffler on mine, have to figure out the spark problem, whether it's the coil or this stupid little wire...
If I have to, I will cut slots into the adjustment screws to adjust the mixture. I would prefer to leave it 'factory' looking though, as to ward off those who think it is not stock... :hmm3grin2orange:

Thanks in advance.

(yes, there will be a thread on this... :))

That sucks. It was backordered and I have been waiting for over a month for this.

Still chugging along at 11,500rpm.

I think you can take a small pick, or something alike, and push that lock in around the screw, and then adjust.

This is what I use to use. Hard to tune on the throttle but effective.

Just a flat head ground away with a file.

As a quick tool, grab a red wiring butt connector, crimp one end of the sleeve almost closed (so it still accepts a screwdriver) and heat the other end with a heat gun or lighter/match and push it down over the needle screw...............instant semi permanant fully adjustable screw.
