I grabbed this saw from a friends estate sale (his dad passed). I didn't want it going to the dump :(
It hasn't been run in at least a decade. The bar has no markings on it that I can see after cleaning it up and dressing it so it may not be original. 20".
There's a chip out of the roller tip (weird) but it turns freely. Chain is good shape from what I can see. I believe these came with 9/16" monster chain :p Clutch and drum look good.
I've cleaned up the major gunk but otherwise left it as is. I don't have a monster compressor so can't 'fire' it up.
Everything turns smoothly, nothing seized.
I replaced a couple missing bolts/nuts.
I'm told it was used to cut construction beams at job sites. You'd think they would have used something lighter, LOL

$50 (what I paid for it) + freight
weight is 30#
located in Norcal, Bay Area

That looks like 9/16 full chisel chain and the bar appears to be eithrt Mall or old Homlite pattern. Cool saw but i bet it needed a ton of air.

90psi, constant. You need a trailer sized compressor like what you see for big jack hammers. There are a few vids on YouTube showing this saw on action...crazy

So, just discovered I can't edit the original post...:(

anyway...

bar is NOT 20", measures 17" from case to tip.
Chain is NOT 9/16"...is 1/2" pitch, semi-skip, 47DL, .063g
Looks like Mac chain. after dremel wire wheel...shows "Super Pro" CMC with a C above and below a larger M.
# on the raker is 30.
I found a pic that has the same logo on another site

sorry for not getting the correct info in the original.

Awwwww..... not that much......lol

I worked for Ingersoll Rand. Their HD pneumatic drill had. #5 Morse Taper. Would pull a 3”drill in steel.

Weighs 70 lbs and retails at about $12K.......needed 160 cfm.

Saw one on tv when they were attaching the aircraft elevators on a carrier. You chain it down.

And then there was the Very HD drill. That used a LOT of air.

A split engine VW compressor would run that saw fine. $400 kit for the compressor I think.

Can’t believe this saw is still unsold.......

It may have started off square and been filed round later.
that's what its looking like after cleaning it up. you can see sq machining marks on each of the cutters at the base of the gullet.
the marks are consistent and in the same relative place on each cutter.
the # on each raker is definitely 30 and not 3C. There are no #s to be seen on the drive links...worn out.

some more pics.

another thing. I'm not so sure this bar is original to the saw. I find no markings on it at all and the mount slots look to have been "machined" by other than factory. Or, perhaps the original slots were extended by an owner?

Anyone have a guess as to what brand this bar is?
I wonder if the 'plugged' hole seen is where a handle would be attached for 2-man use. It appears to be a different type of steel (stainless?). diameter is the same, both sides. It also appears to be factory.
