I recently received an old Homelite VI 130 from my dad with the hopes to get it running again. It seems to be getting power to the spark plug but there is no spark. The plug that was in it is a Bosch Super RO 542 (W8EC) but I cannot find anything similar to try. I did read that the VI 130 is the same as the XL 123, can anyone confirm this?
Any help is appreciated.

Welcome to AS! that is a nice old Homelite. I am a bid fan of the old homelites and have had quite a few. I am pretty sure that is the same as a xl123 except yours has the anti vibe feature. The plug should be a Champion CJ6, NGK BM7A, or Denso W22M-U. They should be gaped at .025. If the plug does not fix it try cleaning the points some times they get a little corroded from sitting . There is still quite a few parts around for these saws, you just have to hunt a while, but well worth it.
