Stihl 048

I picked up an 048 a couple months ago. Needs a new fuel tank, and came with one, so it's just a matter of finding the time to get it together.

Here's how it is now.

An 048 is an awesome grunt of a saw. I believe they were right around the 72cc mark and was the forefront of the newer high reving saws. It has the grunt of a 660 with a 25" bar buried in hardwood and the speed of a 440. I don't remember it being that heavy compared to other big saws. It is heavier than my 440 was. I wish I wouldn't have sold mine. It was mint and low hour saw...
