Here's the 075

my saw has adjustable auto oiler,so I guess its 051?Still working on pics, but thanks guys

More than likely an 051 then. The best way is to measure the bore. You need to tear the whole saw down to get the muffler off. You can take a straw and stick it threw the exhaust port and have the piston squeeze the straw and measure the bore. Still post pics if you can.

the cylinder of the 051 is held on by screws, 075/076 is held on by full length studs. No need to measure anything, just shine a flashlight sideways under the rear handle toward where the cylinder meets the crankcase itself.

or see where the decomp or decomp plug is - there are two holes next to the spark plug in the casing, the 075/076 cylinder has it in a different hole to the 051. But I forget which so you'll have to study some photos or look it up!

Unless someone broke the bolts and used screws. My 076 had 3 screws and 1 bolt holding the cylinder on

There are of course a lot of "frankensaws" out there, so different clues may point in different directions.....

Both true, that's why I mention the decomp port method - it is the only 100% reliable easy to spot detail that tells you without question whether it's 111cc or 89cc

Thanks again for all the replies.Im workin on pics but its giving me a fit.Anyhow,I bought this saw from a buddy. It threw the clutch off and went completely through the cover, leaving a perfect circle cut out of the cover .(also caused some pretty bad injury to his leg).I have 2 more questions about this saw also.First off it appears the decompression valve was either replaced with a bolt or plug. This saw Im sure came factory with decomp valve? Also it has 404 chain,is this recommended? Thanks again. These are the only pics I can load, says the rest are too large .I will try later
