That's exactly what I said whe she arrived.... But later on put some upgrades like the 20"lightweight bar, dual spikes and a wrap handle and changed my mind.Hahaha

No, That's a Nice Saw regardless ... That looks kick ass.

Does anyone know how the 462 balances, feels with Longer Bars 32-33" ... Given their "Light" "RW's" ????
Ι have on mine the 20" lightweight. I tried on the Stihl 28" lightweight and itwasn't so ... Flexible... So balanced ... Sooo.... Actually it felt nose heavy and lost some of the nice and easy handling that it had with the shorter bar. That's my opinion.

Me, I just rub a little dirt on my saws.

It is a damn shame that the flywheel/fan doesn't blow out, so multi color ribbons can be tied to the grates.

There is always the tried and true ways to accessorize and personalize your saws.

Nothing says look at me like a glossy gold paint job -->

Or for the #metoo types -->

The saw Brad has is the second 462 I have ran, the first was at a Randy's. That saw had a 28" bar, to me the saw felt like a wet noodle, almost like it had a bad or loose AV mount, which to be fair it may very well had. Something wasn't right, or that saw just isn't going to like longer bars. I also wonder if the wrap version will have stiffer AV? I would assume so.

I'm not sure why folks ask these questions. A fully loaded saw with a long bar is gonna be heavier, and not balance like a limbing or snedding machine. If your jobs requires it, ya simply put the bar on and get to work.

Having said that, here's one of my 044's with an HD filter carrying a 30" Iggesund Forest bar, fully loaded - nearly 23lbs:
