Was the case sealed with rtv? I am thinking that there are actual gaskets for that series...

The seals were dry rotted and the case was sealed with RTV.......and yes, there are case gaskets for this series.

It's actually in very good shape.

"Wading Off Into"

To wade means to stand in water, right....??

So you're standing in water, off into an Stihl 076. Not just 'A Stihl' Oh Seventy Six, it's 'An Stihl' Oh Seventy Six. But you're not just going to it, you're going 'into' it. Interesting.

But moving along.... Does 'off into' imply traveling....??

So you're wading, and (apparently) traveling, to an 076, when yet it sits on your bench.

Randermind, buddy, you sir have a hell of a way with words. And I do believe it's 21% of the reason why I love you.

And I must say I hope you find that your wading/traveling journey to the 076 that sits beside you is a good one. Good luck as you embark on your journey my friend.....

That's funny. :msp_sad:

Mate, there's a reason why there aren't photo's of the current state of my legs on the 'net ;)

I'm a shade under 6'2", have a 36" inseam and have lost 12kg/26lb in the last twelve months.
I was only 200lb before.

The physio hit me with that line two weeks ago laughing his head off. Bastard.
