Saw accessory box

I thought there was a thread on this but can't find it.

So what's everyone use for an accessory box for spare chains, tools, etc. What do you carry in your box. I currently have a storage box that the saw stays in and everything else is laying in the bottom of it. It's time to keep everything else in a separate location from the saw. Add pics of your accessory box or saw box too.

Stanley "FatMax" toolbox. Wish it was a smidge longer -- I keep a spare 20" bar in it, but can't fit my 25" (though I rarely use it). Recently they've been using the Stanley Bostich brand at Lowes, I have a few more of the smaller size boxes made up for specific tasks (small engine kit, plumbing kit, etc.)

Let's see if I can remember everything in it...

-- Filing kits
-- Scrench
-- Sharpie
-- Tie-on Labels (if I rock a chain or something, I can write notes to myself what is wrong with something)
-- Zip tie (to clean out the bar)
-- Cut-down paint brush (wipe dirt away from the caps when re-fueling, cleaning under the cover when swapping chains)
-- Screwdriver for carb
-- 5" & 8" Wedges
-- 20" Bar
-- Bunch of chains, 20" and 25".
-- Flagging tape
-- Teflon spray (for when I sharpen the Fiskars)
-- Plumb bob and carpenters ruler (I use them when trying to precisely figure out where a tree will land)
-- Yellow rag (which I use as a target when practicing precision falling)
-- Fiskars hatchet (tap in wedges when bucking up large logs)
-- Chalk (when I measure before bucking)
-- Fiskars folding saw
-- Brush hand shears (for cutting out grape vines, etc. when cleaning up a tree top)
-- Tree book and some printed-out notes on how to fell difficult trees, etc.
-- Spare bar nuts

I use on of those Dewalt toolbags that is made for their tool sets. It holds everything I need it to hold. I have 3 wedges, 3 different sized measuring sticks, can of inverted marking paint, tap and cut, scrench, screwdriver, files, file guides, gloves, extra chain or two, knee pads, ear muffs, safety glasses, hatchet, I think that is it. It has plenty of pockets inside and out for the smaller stuff.

Tools for the saw go in one .50 cal ammo can. Got another half size ammo can for chains. Saws are in the cab where the back seat used to be.

I used my old fireline pack today. I liked that I was able to throw it over my shoulder and tote my saw in one hand and a axe on the other. I just threw the bare necessities unit today. Wedges, scrench, file, tape measure, ear plugs and safety glasses were in it today. Not sure if that will be my long term solution. But I think I will keep it handy even if I use a toolbox of some sort. Works great for getting everything into the woods in one trip especially if you are much distance from the truck.

I use a small Green Remington plastic 12ga box for all my files, spare starter rope, fuel filter, couple rims, and misc tools. Then i have another one of those stihl hard plastic cases that i got with my kombisystem. It had spare line and a hat in it.. I use it for the spare chains.

That all looks new. Have they been used yet? Also was there a stihl dealer going out of bussines sale?
5 gal bucket for me. Whats in it? who nows, some of everything. But no tape measure.

My saw box

Built my own. I don't cut far from my house, so I am never too far from the garage. But, I built this to strap to my ATV. Got my saw, a couple sharp chains, gloves, eye protection, hearing protection, a couple felling wedges, scrench, a torx screw driver for saw, small paint brush, a stump vice, a chain file, and a very old reused bar oil bottle. Probably some other things, but they just found their way in there.

Don't have a photo but...

Do have a Husky carry case with scabbard. There's space for files, spark plug, scrench, bar oil and 2-stroke mix bottles, chain sharpening jig. I don't carry oil bottles in there but the rest is stocked.

There's also room for earplugs and gloves, rags, felling wedges, cigarettes, cell phone, Band-Aids, Aunt Tilly's knickers, you name it.

I have a old toolbox, the top tray has filing stuff and small tools. The bottom holds wedges, spare chains for the two saws I use the most. And a can of paint for my Mingo.

I use a Craftsman toolbox with the little compartments on the lid. Outside of the box, I'll carry a Fiskars axe, Mingo, and sometimes a cant hook. Here's my setup...

Hmmm, I bought it from John at Rocky Hill Farm Chainsaws on Rt 100 south of 23. I was researching this PS 510, a Stihl MS-270 and a Husky 353. Figured any of the three would have been great, liked the price and the availability of service on the Dolmar. Has worked out great so far. Never needed service, but stop down for a chat with John pretty regularly and to pick up bar oil or sharpen the chains after I've rearranged the angles a few times by hand.

I've been here 27 years, feel like I ought to know anyone who cut here.

I've seen the sign, didn't know he sold Dolmar, thanks. The dealer I got mine from was horrible.

I am using a box that I built. I just used 1 inch rough pine. I divided into 3 compartments. Eat and compartment holds for gas and oil . The center compartment is where the chains and tools and wedges and felling bar reside. The dividers come up over the center compartment and I turned a maple handle to carry the whole box with.
