Wright Saw

My Wright Saw GS-5020

This is my Wright Reciprocating Saw, model GS-5020 Super Rebel. Serial number 3G3609. It was made about 1959 or 1960. This saw has two cylinders, one to power the saw and one to drive the blade. The firing cylinder has a displacement of 7.06 cubic inches, or about 116 CC. It weighs 25 pounds. The blade requires no lubrication, and is 20" long. The throttle trigger grounds the ignition when released straight down, and the saw is idled by moving the trigger to the left while releasing it. This saw also has a governor to limit engine speed to about 5,000 RPM. My saw runs good, I have installed new spark plug, fuel lines, fuel filter, and new gaskets and diaphragms, needle and seat in the carburetor. The starter is not original, but is from another Wright Saw, probably a B-520. I don't know why the fuel tank and rear handle are a different color than the rest of the saw, maybe they were replaced.
