IMO .050 is too big for this saw. Its easy to stop the chain without pushing too hard. I’m not a fan of the 1/4” chain so i went with the .043 and it really cuts well.

The 550 is best how? I have both saws and prefer the 550 limbing because its more nimble and revs quicker. The 261 has more torque for bucking. Both are great saws
I’ve never seen them on Ebay. When i was looking for them I did get a price of $80 USD from Canada for the kit minus shipping which is a really good price. I just kept the .325 on it.
I use a small jar and I measured out 2.6oz (50:1) 3.2oz (40:1) then etched marks in the glass for each one. Now i just add oil up to the line and add some gas so the oil doesn’t stick to the jar. Put the lid on and shake it around a little bit and dump it all in the gas can.
