I see from the weather Washington will get the brunt of the storm. I am about 200 miles north east of you and we are getting snow and the wind is picking up. Supposed to be worse in the early morning. There are a lot of dead pine here from the beetle kill, some will be falling who knows where, lots of them in peoples yards!!! Good lucK to you all.

Winds are sitting around 40 and gusting to 65. don't sound like much but we just got thru with wettest november in the history of washington so the ground is saturated and the evergreens are tall. A few Northwest AS members are gonna be making some money real soon. The biggest part of the wind isnt here yet but they say shes cummin.

Weather

Is that weather normal for every winter out in WA? I thought the weather was much more mild there. Thought it just rained alot and stuff...

I am pretty sure Dean and Ben are out of juice also. I have alot of freinds a little south of me that are on generator also. Gas71 also lives in a pretty windy area.

You are correct with the wet. We are semi desert here and dont usually get snow till end of the month, we have had more than foot so far!!!!:jawdrop:
Hope everybody fares well.

Cisco, mostly you are correct but we get a big one about every 5 years or so unless you live in the mountains where I do. There we often get winds in excess of 100mph (ie: pressure changes from east to westside of the cascades) and I live right smack dab in the draw.

Getting worse

Police in Pierce County report two weather-related fatal wrecks. A man tried to avoid a falling tree, rammed into another and died from injuries. In the second incident, a tree fell onto a pickup with two occupants, killing one and throwing the other out of the car. That person was airlifted to the hospital.

A Seattle woman drowned in her basement - trapped with water to the floor above -but they resuscitated her after 8 minutes.. bad... Heard it on the truck radio - No cable, no off-air TV...

No idea what's happening outside - I hear trees coming down in the forest, branches on the roof, but I'm hunkered down, with my generator and DSL.. Wind is sure howling right now.

Did sell a lot of chain, oil and saws and service (start this SOB, please - all flooded and bad gas) today though... Emergency services were all stocking up on saws stuff.

Heard something new today - crane operators paying tree guys to be on retainer - trees on roofs need both..

Good to hear from you Lake. I just leaving work and heard I now get to cut my way home. Like I said I always try and stay on topic so I will use a stihl 046KD to get me home.

Lucky you. My dsl is out. Back to dial up. Took a nap this afternoon because I knew I wasn't going to sleep tonight with the neighbors trees so close to my house. Oh well, that's what insurance is for. I got 65 gallons of fuel and the gennie is humming. Saws are fueled and pointed at the door. It warmed up considerably in the last couple hours so I shut the stove down and opened the windows. Hope this is over soon. Hope all the other guys are ok too.

Good luck to you, and everyone else in the storm area!

Be careful

I really don't want to loose any of you guys, or anyone else for that matter. I hope you are all safe this morning, and may god bless and watch over you.
