Hey guys..
I got a call from a guy a few weeks ago that thought I would be interested in some of the saws he might have...
after talking for a while he mentions he has
a stihl, smaller, not in the best shape
a mcculloch a couple years old...
electric saw lol
homelite that's missing top cover, then mentions faded plastic (barf)
I also have a Mantis tiller that was used maybe once... all those were my father in law's...
then mentions, oh, I also have a coupla husky's in the barn, haven't used in years, a 266 I think, and maybe another...
I have a small MAC in a case, top handle limbing saw, and an echo limber...
I also have a Mantis tiller that was used maybe once...
maybe a old homelite too
I have a Husky Brush cutter I used for ONE job...it was quite pricey...600-700...
another 5 min of talking goes by...
'well, when I ran my own logging business, I had quite a few saws...now that I think of it, I might still have that old 2100 husky too :jawdrop:
You should come down, I'll make you a really good deal on everything...the only thing we might haggle over is the brushcutter...I know it has very little time on it, and it was $$...
Needless to say, it was a VERY productive afternoon, and more than got my CAD fix for the week!! lol
I visited 'george' today. the list of (some good, some sucky) goodies include:
The Sucky:
MAC 3816 (this will be a 30 giveaway saw...)
homelite 33cc plastic job (anyone need any parts...that's trash)
Still 011AV...faded bad, but looks fairly complete
Remington electric 14" $10 give away
The Good:
Almost new Mantis tiller
Husky brush cutter 36? something it's big...
Homelite xl
Mac mini mac 25
MAc min mac 35 original, BARELY used with case, orig container of B&C lube... (look at the pics....)
The better
Husky 268XP
Husky 288XP (needs a P&C...seems complete)
EVERYTHING (but 'the sucky' and the mantis ) was COVERED in 10+ years of barn dust....I looked like I worked on dirty saws all day for the 30 min I was in there..
No 2100, but, honestly, for what I paid for everything, It's OK....
WHOO HOO!!!
just wanted to share...
Here's some pics of the minimac 35 and case (and tools, file, spare filter, and chain)... this thing was BURIED behind tons of stuff...almost didn't dig it out, but glad I did...it's purdy (after about 45 minutes CLEANING it...
