So I've got a 365 x torq and a 266SE. I've done base gasket deletes and muffler mods on both, and opened up the transfer covers on the 365xt. I've had good luck with timing advances on other saws, simply filing off part of the flywheel key. But I can't find a lot of info on doing that with these...

I just got in a 266se. Complaint was hard pulling and random dying. I am aware of known vapor lock and will deal with that after. For now I am digging into hard pulling issue. What I find is that starter is digging into flywheel! Now quick fix instincts tell me shorten starter. Fix it right...
