Hello everyone, i'm rebuilding this 550mk2 Who suffered from PTO side bearing failure, kinda evergreen on a 5 series😬. It Is mu First bottom end rebuild, and It was going all smooth until i found out that the inner race of the new bearing spins almost freely on the crankshaft. Still, i had to...
So, just how silly should I feel for not catching the wear on this earlier? Second, is this a fairly common point of failure in any one else's experience? I did measure the material width afterwards (.046" or 1.168 mm) which is thinner than the recommended minimum .. but jeez not a whole lot...
I'm looking for a used 550/545 mk1 cyilinder, the one that i have now may not be salvageable. Lots of transfer and scoring. Ideal would be a cheap OEM jug with some polishing to do to it also.
Picked up this 365 Special quite a while back that had a crank seal leak and just finally got to it last night. Excited to fire it up and get it in some wood soon! If it ever dies I do plan on throwing the 372 top end on it but until then what should i do with this thing? Already has a muffler...
Hey guys and girls, my name is Mike and i am new to the forum. Been an avid outdoorsman my whole life and recently trying to get into the wood business instead of just doing it for myself. #bluelinewoodservice

Here is a pic of some of the saws!
Hi guys, I'm New on the forum, I'm an italian boy who's beginning to appreciate the world of arborists. Here I am with a little big issue: some months ago I was gifted a Husky 550xp MY '13 (one of the first ones, know they had some carb issues and other stuff) that wouldn't start. The old owner...

With all the hype about the new mk2 saws and new stuff coming out I decided it's time to take my 550xp and just have some fun with it. So I went and got a new sprocket and a new 18" bar and chain and here it is. Did a few test cuts and plunges on some cherry out in the back yard. I'm liking it...
Hi all, looking for information on the 550xp pto side bearing. I know there has been an update (or 2?) since the 550 and 562 has been released. I am looking at bearings and see both the 525 43 42-01 and the 525 43 42-03 bearings listed for the clutch side. Which one is the one I want? They are...

Hello to all here and thanks for a very informative website.
This has probably been done to death before but I have not found a satisfactory answer.
TLDR:
Should I keep a screaming 50cc high rpm pro saw for farm work, buy a 55/60cc slower rev higher torque workhorse or just stick with my 40cc...
Looking to replace a vintage 55 that was accidentally destroyed. (Bushhog shredded)
Trying to locate a new or used Husqvarna 545, but have not been able to find an Atlanta dealer in stock. Have found 550XP's, all at $599
Would also be interested in a used 550XP, or 346. Trying to stay in that...
Broke down and bought my first new pro saw, a 550xp. Going to be using this saw heavily for firewood but also some clearing on the property I just bought. I immediately had the drive switched over to 3/8" and Im running the Husqvarna 20" bar with a loop of Husqvarna H47 on it. I already want to...
I'm looking at a used 550xp. The seller isn't completely sure of the history. But, by the looks of it, it's in good shape. Gray paint on the clutch guard isn't scuffed to pieces yet - good sign.
Seller tested the compression at 145 cold. He's at 180 ft, for what it's worth. Here's the question...
Hey guys new to the site but I've been stalking threads for years. That said I need help with a saw a bought from a member. It's a 2013 model 550xp. Only blows 110psi on compression gauge but starts and seems to cut well. For the first 10-15 minutes anyway. I was blocking firewood tonight...
