Hello Everyone,
I have a strange issue with a 435. It will start and run fine, after some time idling it will bog and die as soon as you hit the throttle. It will fire right back up after and run again, revs fine, then again, after some time idling it will bog and die when you go to rev it...
I have a Stihl 024 that I’m working on, and I’m scratching my head on tuning it. The carburetor has a new rebuild kit, and I believe the metering lever is the correct height. The initial settings are one turn out on low and high, but it wants to run at 3/4 turn out on the low side. When I turn...
I have a husky k770 model, rebuilt the carb, gaskets were like potato chips. When starting, it will only start with the choke, pop off the choke and it will rev to full speed and takes a while for it to slow down when releasing the trigger. it also acts like it wants to be a "runaway" engine...
I have a Homelite XL-924 that I can’t get to idle and keep running!
Here is what I know:
-It has spark + brand new spark plug adjusted with the correct gap
-145 psi
-Exhaust baffle has been grinded and is free of any build up
-Brand new fuel lines. Carb is pulling gas. Running 32:1...
Hello all
I have a STIHL 066 that just got out of the shop and mechanic said it was “tuned” right.
The saw has aftermarket exhaust on it. Throttle response is good and engine seems to be running good.
while idling, the chain keeps turning and sometimes turns at high speed. Any idea on what...
Just got my hands on a MS200T, claimed to be not running but a quick carb change and it runs perfectly fine, problem is that when I try to turn it off, nothing happens. I've clearly made a rookie mistake and linked up something incorrectly in the carb, just not sure what. I'm watching vids of...
Hello all, Im currently cleaning up a little Homelite Bandit LX-30 - I dont have many plans for it other than id just like to get it running and functional - Everything is in good condition, Im just in need of a new carb for it (Screw holes stripped unfortunately) - And then the black Heat Dam...
I see there are several superceded part numbers for the Dolmar/makita carburetor for 6400/6401/7900/7901 ext series of saws, the newest one is some Zama that places want like $130+ for....yikes...I can't seem to find cheap aftermarket replacement carbs for this saw after searching for a bit, its...
Evening, my echo 620p is extremely temperamental when trying to start when it’s cold out, about 15 to 30 deg. I have a second 620 that is not. I don’t have that one at the moment (brother has it for a while) but the saws are the same so why the difference in starting? I’ve started from scratch...
I put away a Makita EA4300, I had the muffler gutted.
I cut an hour with it in a log pile, Two months ago, I cleaned it up
and was in the process of running it dry, I noted what looked like a spray of fuel
coming from the exhaust as I cycled it, I let it idle until I heard it die a little...
Hi, I've just tried to give my Husqvarna carb a spruce up, but when I try and prime the saw there is pressure building in the 3 fuel pipes, and no fuel circulating. Also have huge pressure in the tank too. Any ideas?
Hi, I have a Husqvarna 235 X-Torq that bogged down completely when under load, tried to do a carb rebuild (most probably badly), and now it wont even try to start. Also seems to really be an issue with the priming system as when I prime it, pressure builds up in the fuel pipes and in the fuel...
I’m trying to adjust the carburetor on my MS461 and I have 2 problems:
1- I cannot lower the RPM on full throttle below 13800.
2- when the saw is idling (2800-2900rpm), the chain run a little bit (it moves a inch every 1-2 seconds). Is that normal?
Thanks
Hey fellas, I opened up my new 445e muffler a little bit (drilled Two 1/4 inch holes and removed spark arrestor) I have the tool to adjust the carb. I believe I have it four stroking and it cleans up well in the cut. After a few hard hours the plug looks pretty lean, if I back the H screw out...
Hi, as you may have seen on other threads I've posted today, I've bought a MS211 as a non starter for next to nothing. Managed to win the first battle and got life into it after some tinkering.
Next issue is the ungodly bogging I'm getting. Anything over 10% throttle and it sounds horrible...
Hi, I've got a stihl MS21, hasn't started from the day I've owned it. Tried pulling it and an ungodly amount of fuel has pi***d everywhere, the exhaust is full, it's coming out of the carb and dripping down the handle. Something catastrophic is wrong, but what?
I need help diagnosing my Homelite 330. First I am looking for an instruction manual or at least an exploded parts picture specific to my model#. I've found some online that are close but no cigar.
The problem: Hard to start, when it does the idle runs away- way too high. The moment I take the...
Hi everyone,
I bought a MS211 in used/not working condition with the claim that it had bogging/carburettor issues... oh boy did I let myself in for a ride. I was shown the saw when I first bought it, it would idle pretty well, however even the slightest amount of pressure on the throttle and it...

I am wanting to buy a Echo cs-590 for general purpose. I purchased a small lot with a bunch of mulberry trees that need to be removed. I am in my small town small engine repair shop and the owner wants to sell me a 590 with 18" bar. I told him I want to buy one with a 20" bar. He said he'd sell...
