My aged Craftsman chainsaw (or use a Poulan part) only needs the trigger spring to run. But I can't find one. Does anyone have one? Any advice?
I'll be glad to pay (but not $$$ for an entire saw for parts).
Craftsman chainsaw is model 358.355061.
Trigger spring is Sears part # 60 530-025686.

I purchased a Craftsman (yes I know) chainsaw at an auction a while back. I've replaced the primer bulb, fuel lines, and filter. It's always been difficult to start but now I've got a new problem. When I go to pull start it - it has a large amount of fuel in the cylinder. I pull the spark plug...
Emails here normally start with an open minded person looking for a good saw. They come here looking for advice and either provide enough information or the smart people here pull it out of them to recommend the appropriate saw. What do you say when someone is intent on purchasing based on price...
Hi everyone,
Looking for the right tool to remove this clutch assembly so I can get to the oiler. It's leaking pretty bad but I can't find the proper tool for this 3 legged clutch. If there are any cross referenced part numbers for this model please let me know.
Model: 316.380160

I have wasted a good bit of time trying to rebuild carbs for two 18" Craftsman Chainsaws. I have decided to start from scratch and buy new carb kits for both, but I have now learned the hard way that there seem to be a million different configs and part numbers out there. #1 is Craftsman Saw...
I inherited my Dad's Craftsman 3.7a (yellow and white) model number 917.351472, and I'm seeking thoughts on making it a dedicated milling saw. Like many others on this site, I am making a project of giving it another life (the saw I learned on and all that). Thankfully the repairs needed have...
Hello Friends, I have available for sale a mid 60's (I believe) Craftsman/Roper 3.7 Powersharp with 17" bar and original style Oregon Barracuda Powersharp .325 chain (although fairly worn down). Saw is clean and overall good condition for it's age; it has new Tygon fuel lines, fuel filter...
Hello all! I am new to the forum so I hope this ends up in the right spot. I picked this forum because it seemed to have the most helpful advice on older saws. So here is the situation:
When I was a kid I vividly recall Dad using this loud ugly red saw that he loved. About 15 years ago...
I have a used Craftsman 358351702 chainsaw. I opened up the clutch assembly and can see what looks like dark discoloration on the drum and clutch, plus some melted plastic on the chassis ("~12-1 o'clock" as viewed from the saw's right side) and on the chainsaw brake.
I removed the excess...
I'm reluctant to do this but after buying it I realize that I just can't have a shelf queen, it does have some shelf wear from being shuffled around in a barn where it lived in West Texas for over 30 years. I have more detailed pictures of the shelf wear and the small amount of surface...
WHATS EVERYONE GOT?:thisthreadisworthlesswithoutpictures: It seems there needs to be a dedicated post for these saws, so many talk about them. With that said, I have a 3.7/18. My buddy brought me his for a clean up. He has a 3.4/20. The sticker with model # on his is gone. Is there a production...
Brand New, Never Used, Not a Single Bit has been used! I'm a Milwaukee Tool kinda guy so yellow is not my brand. Has been sitting on the shelf in my shop for months. Need the space, want to get rid of it. Also posted locally on Craig's. Payment will be taken through PayPal or USPS Money Order...
Hello everybody,
I acquired this little number through my fiancee and have just now gotten around to it (she know's I'm a fan of chainsaws and tinkering). The first thing I did was take off all the big pieces to see how this thing works. The fuel line was shot (big surprise) so I just bought...
