stihl 070

I've spent lots of time looking for long chainsaw bars to fit my 070 and haven't found many options. Seems that most manufacturers stop at 42" or so. I'd like to find a 36-38" bar, a 48-58" bar, and a 72"+ bar I'm aware that the 070 and 090 need either a special bar or custom drilled holes for...

So today I was milling up some spalted maple with my 070 and 36” bar and I noticed it lost most of its power on the last cut. Feels like the piston and rings are going... I’ve got a 070 that may be a franken saw with Chinese parts sprinkled in but it’s been running like a champ up until today...

I recently bought a "complete repair kit" Stihl 070 from the Farmer Tec/Huztl website with 090 piston/cylinder kit and put it together using the1chainsawguy's You Tube series. It was extremely easy to do, I actually built it in my kitchen with no vice or anything at my disposal just basic tools...
