stump grinder repair

We are new owners of an used vermeer sc382. Yesterday everything worked perfect. We parked it inside the shop, then today went to move it and it started right up. The issue is the control panel has no power to it. No lights or anything registering. The battery is new and currently at 13.2 amps...

I have a 2005 Sc352, my upper gear box is getting extremely hot. You can't hold your hand on it at this point. How complicated is it to replace? Is there a cheap bit reputable aftermarket other than Coomer , I think I have that right. Any tips, tricks or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
