Help identifying a tree in my yard that has to be removed, is it valuable?

I just purchased a house in Ironwood Mi the UP, there's a massive tree in the yard that's leaning towards the garage, I was Quoted $3000.00 to remove it but they want to charge me more if I keep the wood to sell or use for my own crafting. This makes me believe it has a lot of value, the to own...

    Eucalyptus identification

Hi all, I am trying to identify a Eucalypt growing in my backyard in Victoria, Australia. It is at a height where it would just hit our house if it fell so I'm trying to understand whether it is fast growing and at risk of falling to assess whether it should be cut down. Thanks!

    Leaf identification.

Is this some kind of Mulberry? We are in Southeast WI. It’s sapling bark is yellowish. It’s been persistently growing in the corner of our garden. I have cut it down and pulled it’s roots the last 4 seasons and it just keeps coming back. We’re to the point we just might leave it be 😂. It wins.

Tree identification Central Virginia dark wood

After the snowstorm here a few weeks back I cut up a downed limb nearby and threw it in the truck. Finally split it today. Really nice looking wood, fibrous grain like oak (if that’s the right description), as opposed to more smooth grain like poplar or maple. I was really surprised at how...

    Tree firewood species identification

Here's a new species I've encountered. Looks like it got uprooted and fell horizontally hanging I assume is fresh but dead. When I cut into it it was green. Any ideas what it is? The heartwood on the end grain looks like a grass stain green color.

    Firewood identification

This tree from my observation rotted at the bottom and fell over on this car. I bucked it up so it's like a wooden caterpillar now. What kind of tree is this and why does it look like this? Is it a little rotten and very seasoned? What causes this bright smooth wood look and chip panels?

    Help Identifying Fallen Tree

Long time lurker, first time poster here. A 40-50 foot tree fell in the wooded area behind my house and I wanted to put it to good use. I’ve started to mill it with my chainsaw and the figure/grain inside is very interesting, but I’m having a hard time identifying it. The bark was rough at the...

    Eucalyptus Tree Identification Help

I have finally joined Arboristsite.com!!! I am looking for some information on identifying this eucalyptus tree that is common in California. I know it’s not a blue gum, or a red ironbark. I think it is a grey ironbark, but I am not certain. Can anyone help me identify this tree?

What should I do with this poor looking soul?

Quick question. I have this tree at the bottom of my garden that a conifer has been allowed to grow up through. It is a bit of a sorry state often only producing random branches of leaves in the summer. I cut back branches that were doing nothing last year and removed some scraggly bits. I also...

is this the strangest tree ever?

We recently came across this stunning tree in Yandina Queensland. We suspect it might be a Jaboticaba Fruit Tree, however we are unsure. It seems to grow it's red fruit on it's trunk. Do you know what it could be? :)
