009 muffler mods?

Was talking with my neighbor about saw mods and he asked if anyone ever opened up the muffler on a 009? I have one I use for pruning the apple trees and thought it might help.
I did some searching and didn’t come up with anything. Anyone ever done it?

There isn't much to the 009 muffler. I'd guess the only thing you can do would be to open up the little screen/baffle at the end of the "pipe."

Personally, I think my 020T suggestion stands.

Now this sounds like fun. Totally useless, but fun.
I have a few mufflers laying around, let's see what we can do.
