Up for sale is a set of projects I acquired. My living situation has taken a turn for the worse (slumlords, yeeeesh!) so I'm moving. I won't have space at the new place, so stuff has to go.

The AV unit runs but needs going over, carb cleaning and possibly a kit, fuel lines checked. I put three tanks through it last month, but the carb is very touchy and won't hold an idle well. Currently has 3/8 rim-sprocket.

The AVS unit was sold to me as a non-runner. I got it to start, but the gas tank leaks (maybe just from the cap, but pretty sure it's the handle) so it never received extensive testing. Sold as is.

I had a trade going with a fairly well-known member here for all the additional parts and spare crankcase. It took over 9 months for the seller to send me the parts. I lost my window for tinkering while waiting and don't know when it'll reappear.

Used crankcase but in good shape. Flywheel, spare carb (diaphragms/gaskets may need attention), complete top end (not sure which spec), seals and case gaskets, spare top cover, new/unopened 3/8" conversion kit, etc. See photos and feel free to ask questions.

I may have time this weekend to get exhaust port photos but no promises. I'd like to get $750 shipped (48 states) but am open to offers and possibly trades.

I also have two 3/8" 16" bars and 3 or 4 semi-chisel full-comp chains for these saws. Can check gauges later on. Can add them in the package for a little extra, otherwise I'll post a separate ad.

Unless I've missed something, aside from bar nuts there are two complete saws plus the major components to build a third or rebuild.

I'll try to locate the air filter for the second unit. I probably have to get back into those bins today or tomorrow, as we are still consolidating and trashing/donating belongings in the house and storage.

I was just curious but to be honest I couldn’t get no where near that price…..

024av unit. Not as pristine, but still good with machine marks. Light scoring/exhaust marks in the cylinder wall. Both saws have strong compression by feel.20240309_155826.jpg20240309_155806.jpg20240309_155749.jpg20240309_155737.jpg

Even though I'm mostly looking for cash, do you have anything for trade? Feel free to message me with an offer/list.

I'm estimating shipping will be ~$100-120, so for the two saws and all the parts, with shrouds and air filters, it's not too bad.

It’s kinda hard for me to decipher all this, but are you saying 2-of the 024s are running??

The 024avs runs but needs going over. It would idle all day long, but bog upon reaching max rpms in the cut, then run fine as long as you stayed on the throttle. Fuel delivery and possibly diaphragms would be suspect. For its age, seals could be an issue but I haven't tested the case, nor did it scream like it was lean.

The 024av leaks from the gas-cap threading, so I never got around to messing with it. It did start, but idled erratically.

See all the extra parts included. If someone had the other needed parts and the drive, you could probably get three saws out of this.
