Thank you ray. That one don't show what i am looking for unfortnately but here are some pics. Does anyone know what goes in that oiler tube top hole?

i am not 100% sure but I think it is the hole that you screw the handle into.

I had the entire oiling system apart on my 025 and it is really simple.

how dissassembled is your saw it looks like the whole engine is out also.

it may be the vent for the oil tank that goes there too it is hard to tell from the pic. is the pic from the outside of the saw or from the inside

I will take a look at it again to see if I get more ideas.

I just took another look but I realized that it is a pic from inside where the muffler usually sits so it is not the vent or the hole for the handle

I'm not sure what goes there but I don't think it is anything important it may just be a hole for the chainbrake linkage to pass through

I don't think so. The hole where the oil comes out on the clutch side is down this hole to the left as your looking at the pic and in order for the oil to flow through to the bar/chain it would seem that the hole in the picture would need to be plugged, otherwise it is free to flow out of the hole in the picture and under the muffler. I am thinking that some sort of a plug goes in there but not sure. Thanks for the input.

Hard to tell from the picture, but from how you describe it it does sound like this is the position of the tank vent valve. If you think about it the missing vent valve would be the plug you're thinking it needs.

Here are some other pics. I would figure the tank vent is whats circled in red and the oiler hole in yellow?
