I have an 026 PRO with the adjustable oiler and wonder exactly how to set it. Seems that the adjustment screw is under the saw with slot head but it has no "stops". In other words mine doesn't screw in clockwise and stop, nor does it hit a stop if you back it out. Is this correct or is mine stripped out in some way? Also, my main concern is that I want my saw to oil as much as possible and I don't know where to set this adjustment screw since it just spins around and around. Please advise. Thanks.

I can't say about the 026, but on the 036 it's a quarter-turn, from slot aligned with the bar (minimum flow) to (clockwise) slot 90° from the bar (full flow).  It has positive stops, and provides a fair amount of resistance throughout it's travel.  I'm guessing the design is basically the same on the 026 if it's not the very same part.

Pardon me for stating the obvious, but perhaps you've not got a screwdriver small enough to actually get into the slot?  The scrench certainly won't do it.

The oil pump off the "standard" 026 is crank-driven and non-adjustable, so it pumps copiously whenever the engine is running.  It might be an option to obtain one of those if you can't get satisfactory oil flow with what you've got.

As for myself, I'm satisfied as long as there's an oil film on the drive tangs when they exit the bar heading toward the drive sprocket.

That isn't a screw, but rather a cammed pin with a slot in the top. It will only turn about 1/3 of a turn but you need a tiny screwdriver (like a carb adjustment screwdriver). Turn it as far as it will go clockwise.

I have a new MS310 that's does the same thing. I tried adjusting the oil screw & it does not stop - you can turn the screw around & around in either direction. I assume this is not normal ?? Should I take it back to the Dealer ??
