Thanks VER. I counted 7 threads on that crank, then you have the lead in, so 8 threads is right there on the money. My guess was 11mm from the edge of the taper to the end of the threaded section including a 3mm undercut at the taper end of the threaded section. Was hoping someone would have a saw or a crank handy to throw a scale on, but I'm good with what we came up with. Have a good one.Not sure how accurate you need, but the threads are m8x1 from memory and there are about 8 threads I can count so the threaded section is about 8mm long. Plus the unthreaded section which is about 1/4 of the threaded length so I’d say the whole length is 1cm.
Alternatively, the FW bearing ID is 15mm.
That should make it about 1/3 wider than the section you want measured, which visually looks about right.
