I have a Stihl 026 that I'm hoping someone would like to have as a project more than I would.
Missing:
1 starter cover bolt that also attaches the chain brake
Air filter
Air filter cover
Will need at a minimum:
The above missing items
Fuel line/filter
Impulse line
Piston and rings
Clutch drum and sprocket
This saw is complete minus the missing items. It comes with a 16" (60dl) Oregon 3/8 lite bar and decent (3/4 left) skip round chisel chain.
The carb is the fully adjustable Walbro 194 (needs a kit I'm guessing) and the overall condition of the saw is fair. There is some blue paint on the top and clutch covers.
The piston and rings are badly scored. The crank bearings feel tight with no play. The crank and piston rod look good.
The cylinder is scored on the exhaust side. I was able to remove some scoring with minimal work (sanding and acid). Most of the scoring is below the exhaust port. Unknown if it can be saved.
I do not know if it has spark but was told it was running when it scored so I'm guessing the ignition is good.
The saw comes with two mufflers. One is the original. The second is a new muffler that I picked up.
There is some pitting on the case by the brake band. The chain brake works.
I have no idea what this thing is worth but I'd like to get $40.00 + shipping.
PayPal preferred.
Let me know if you need any more information or pictures.
Thanks
