Is a 026 Pro the same as the new MS 260 as far as performance and features go. Will it cut with it, looking to buy one and its a better deal than $450 for a new one, virtually unused,
Thanks Van

Thanks for the info on the jet, I'll check it out. I don't think I like that, If I buy it cause the price is right can a adjustable jet be put in or can I get another carb? Thanks for the help Jokers!

Yes you can get an adjustable carb for the 026Pro. Gerry Baranak got one for his and leaned it out. after using it I got one as well and now it really rips

The adjustable high speed jet carburator part number is WT-426. Just put the vent plate from the new carb on the WT-426 and you will have a fully adjustable 026 intellicarb.

Great saw without the fixed jet issue. I've heard that the 260 pro's are with a fully adjustable carb now at some dealers.

Even so, the caps are only a deterrent for the determined person. They come right off with the right tool so I cant be stopped by them, just adjust the carb to where you want it and leave the caps off or put em back.

My main complaint with the limited caps is the fact that they are much harder to adjust in the field versus the old spring loaded adjusters. I coonverted my 260 pro to the old style carb and have never looked back.
