Adjustable oiler and decompression button on the Pro. Neither of which is really necessary on this saw.
A couple years ago the Pro was first with the IgnoramusCarb, but last I saw at my dealer they all are afflicted with it now.

Brian doesn't like the carbs without a high speed jet, and who does? The intellicarb carb has nothing to do with the presents or absence of a high speed jet, so his joke was funny but aimed a the wrong feature, IMO the intellicarb is a good idea.

Mike,
My personal belief is that the so-called 'Intellicarb' idea was to help compensate for a non-adjustable high speed jet.

I've seen 026 PRO's with Intellicarb AND adjustable high speed jets. I've see MANY more saws with fixed jet carbs and non-compensating carburetors. If you order a new adjustable carb for an 026 you will get two diaphragm covers, on for Intellicarb and one for the non-compensating version.

I dont think so Brian. My 044 has a intelli carb and is adjustable. The intelli carb came out quit a bit before fixed jet carbs did.

I wasn't paying attention at the time, but Stihl's catalog shows amongst their innovations that they developed the Intellicarb in '92.  Funny thing is the the old Homelite Super XL and Super EZ out in the shed had the carburetor metering diaphragms vented to the inside of the air filter too by virtue of the carbs being situated in the airbox itself.

Did Jonsered develop their centrifugal primary air filter back before '92?

I guess if Brian's personal belief is valid, Stihl must have been using non-adjustable carbs for over 10 years now...
