I have an 028 Supers that has a slight problem . The problem is the saw will tach out at 12,500 at full throttle, but if I run it at 3/4 throttle the RPMS will be 13,500-14,000. Does anyone have any suggestions on what is causing this? I have rebuilt the carb....but the problem was occuring prior to the rebuild of the carb.

Thanks for your help.

Hate to sy it George but I believe that you have an airleak. I`d check the fuel hose first, make sure that the end that attaches to the carb is snug, then the impulse hose.Examine these hoses while you are flexing them to look for cracks and to see how well they attach. Next, check the carb mount, and then the crank seals with some carb cleaner while it`s running. Good Luck.

Hi Tony, I think I am gravitating back to Husky, even though stihl is better, I find you either swear by a saw, or you swear at them.
How goes the woodfibre?
