They are a very durable saw. If it has good compression and runs good I would pay up to $100 for one. They go for more than that on eBay

condition of the saw is so important,,
i dont think anybody could know as much as u could... assuming u have used it. but if its rite ,,an u need a good dependable ,,hardworking saw ,,028
is hard to beat..
if the saw is good,, id start at an 85 and go up according to u gut on it..
id give over 2bills for an like new one..
if i was in the market for the saw.
good luck..

Tony, I guess your pretty happy with the 026. I thought you were looking for an 028?

I know this has probably been explained before, but since we're talking about 028's, what were the differences between the super, woodboss, and plain old 028?
Thanks,
George

yep doug im rite pleased with my find.
after i got it set up rite today its
a good performer. better than a good 028,,,,?? well its 2lb lighter and thats important to me now.. besides my 028 yrs ,,it was the only saw i used. now i got saws that will buck a lot faster than either .
the super was 51.5 cc versus 47 for the standard 028..

Thanks, Tony.
So, was "woodboss" just a marketing thing, like the 029 "farmboss"?
