Looking for a 42mm 028wb with a cylinder in good shape with 150+ comp.. Any extras would be great. I have paypal.
Heck even just a cylinder in good shape would be okay. Let me know if you have one.

I have a cracked jug on my 028wb. I already have a good carb, all the covers, muffler, clutch.

I have 4 028s. 1 Super, an AVEQ, and 2 WBs. I'll check them tonight to see if I have a 42. I was thinking the smallest was 43 but I may be wrong, there were several versions of that saw

I have an older 028 here that has very good compression. If I remember right it did start and run good and I thought it was just needing a clutch hub and oil pump gears to complete the power head, but then I started it not to long ago and it wouldn't rev up normal, would crackle on acceleration which I expect is an ignition problem such as a coil, condenser, etc. Its cleaned up pretty descent. I'd like to get $100ish out of it or find good used parts I need reasonable. I probably have the ignition parts if I look .

The smallest is the 42mm which started production in 1979. They switched to the 44 later that year

I called stihl and they said that they didnt have the serial numbers available. I was able to get a top end from Brian Plust though in Vermont.
